Harris is an active member of the boards of directors for the National Center for Appropriate Technology and the International Conservation and Education Fund. She is a graduate of St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia and holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School. She was named as Director and Secretary of the International Conservation and Education Fund in October of 2004.
