Ebola: Preventing Emerging Pandemic Threats
Through the Great Apes Public Education Project INCEF discovered that audiences are even less educated, by and large, in the risks of diseases that are transmitted between animals and humans, specifically Ebola. As a result, we produced and disseminated a series of films on Ebola.
Ebola – Testimony –contains interviews of people whose lives have been touched directly by Ebola epidemics in the Cuvette Ouest Region of the Republic of Congo. They tell their stories, and also discuss prevention, transmission and the social repercussion of the disease as well as explanations refuting the concept that Ebola is being caused by sorcery or black magic. Ebola – Understanding –handles the subject of Ebola from a more scientific viewpoint focusing on causes, preventions, and transmission as well as giving a scientific explanation of what causes Ebola.
