INCEF was created in 2005 with an educational mission targeting people in the remote villages of Central Africa to bring desperately necessary change to human behavior where it has the most impact on the simultaneous enrichment of human experience and conservation of wild species.

- Education is accomplished through video production and the subsequent dissemination and educator-led discussion of the videos
- The videos are indigenously produced, local language, and culturally appropriate
- Focus is on issues at the intersection of wildlife conservation, economic development, and public health
- Impact is scientifically measured – immediately and over time – and results are used to adjust future productions
- Capacity building within the villages is a key goal to assure long-term sustainability
