Great Apes are Just Like Us
Summary
This twelve minute film examines our relationship to the Great Apes, looking at their social behavior in depth, explaining how they help secure the integrity of the forest, focusing on the threats they now face and providing a foundation to trigger discussion of steps that could be taken to help save them.
Featured in the film are a number of prominent specialists including people who have worked a long time with orphaned gorillas at the sanctuary at Lésio-Louna in Congo and with orphaned chimpanzees both at the Brazzaville Zoo and at the Tchimpounga Sanctuary managed by the Jane Goodall Institute.
